It was clear from our very first call with the lovely Alexandra & Matthew, that this was going to be one stunning Destination Wedding! This NY based couple, were passionate about having a romantic, intimate winter wedding in one of their favorite cities, Barcelona!

Romantic Wedding Venue in Barcelona
The couple chose to host their winter wedding at the romantic, historic Torre del Lleons, just 10 minutes from the center of Barcelona. Although the couple were unable to visit the venue in person, they knew from the photos and virtual tour that Crystal Events shared with them, that this was THE ONE. Alexandra even commented that she got butterflies in her stomach and started getting teary just viewing them. The venue combined the historic touch they were looking for, with the convenience of being close to Barcelona, and owned by a top notch catering firm- it was a no brainer!

Alexandra´s dress was definitely a stunning showstopper from Galia Lahav. With her sophisticated updo and gorgeous make-up, it provided a timeless and chic look for this beautiful bride!

Photography was extremely important for the couple and Andrea Ferrera Photography was the obvious choice. Andrea has a keen eye for capturing the most dreamy, timeless photos using a relaxed and natural approach which the couple instantly fell in love with.

Romantic first Look
We decided early on in the planning stages that a first look was the perfect choice for Alexandra and Matthew, who wanted to share some special moments together in an unique setting. Jardins Marimutra was the perfect choice. Combining dramatic greenery with the most beautiful views of the Costa Brava coast, this was the ideal spot to treasure this special moment. Andrea and his partner, Videographer Urko Linzares, used drone shots to capture the magnificent beauty of this unique setting which created visually stunning shots for the couple to treasure.

Wedding Decor
The décor was extremely important to the couple and they had very clear ideas about the atmosphere they wanted to create for their guests. Alexandra, in particular, loved moody and dramatic décor which was perfect for the bodega where the reception would be held. Working closely with Yolanda from Best Day Ever, we decided to complement the romantic historical backdrop of the ceremony location with lush greenery and candles to add an additional romantic touch. Inside, Yolanda created a magical atmosphere using textured flowers, dreamy touches of dusty pink and an abundance of beautiful candles.

Luxurious and Unique Photocall
We also designed a photocall spot which sported a modern neon sign, featuring words from their first dance song “Can’t take my mind off you” by Damien Rice. Combined with dramatic flowers and a gorgeous velvet sofa it made the perfect spot for the couple and guests to capture a special moment! Fun fact-the couple loved the neon sign so much that they took it back to NY to hang in their Brooklyn apartment as an extra special reminder of their big day!

Fiesta!
This historic venue already had the ideal touch for a chic party- a disco ball! This together with the atmospheric lighting by Kamal Events created the perfect party atmosphere. The music was extremely important to the couple, and they trusted International DJ Marco Loco to create the perfect party playlist for the music lovers.
