We are excited to share this chic, intimate wedding at Xalet de Nin! Having lived in Spain for several years, Louise and Daniel were clear from the beginning they wanted to celebrate their intimate wedding in Barcelona. Not only for the wonderful climate and the delicious food, but also for the international atmosphere which was the vibe this fun loving couple were looking for!
Summer Solstice
The couple were certain that they wanted to celebrate their wedding on the longest day of the year – Midsummer – which is the celebration of the summer solstice in June. Hailing originally from Sweden, where the summer solstice is one of the most celebrated holidays of the year, this was one of the main criteria for Louise and Daniel.
Luxury Venue – Xalet del Nin
When the couple visited Xalet del Nin it was love at first sight. They were blown away by the Mediterranean Sea views combined with the modernist touches of the original building. This Barcelona wedding venue, which has only recently been renovated, maintains its historical essence with all the modern touches- the property has been finished to an extremely high and luxurious standard.
Wedding Ceremony- Gospel choir
For the ceremony, inspired by the Royal wedding of Meghan and Harry, the couple wanted to have a gospel choir. Without a doubt, this was one of the most emotional parts of the day. The guests were serenaded by the choir as they took their seats, while the bridal party each had their own unique songs to make their entrances, including their two beautiful children who entered with their father.
Chic Wedding dress and shoes
Louise, the bride, is extremely stylish with a minimalistic style. She chose to have two dresses for the wedding day! For the ceremony and reception, the bride wore a chic, and luxurious slinky dress which fit perfectly with the overall aesthetics of the wedding, with a flowing veil. For the party, she changed into a colorful, shorter dress which suited her personality, as well as the party atmosphere, perfectly!
Her shoes, were quite the showstopper by the designer Amina Muaddi. They provided the perfect finishing touch to Louise´s modern bridal look.
Intimate Wedding Day Design
As their chosen venue, Xalet del Nin, is so beautiful and has such lush gardens, the couple wanted to keep the decoration minimal and stylish.
For the ceremony, the couple didn’t want to have flowers or greenery and chose to only have candles to create a warm, cozy atmosphere for the guests. In addition, ghost chairs were chosen to provide a modern touch and ensured that the guests’ main focus was on the stunning view of the Mediterranean Sea.
For the reception, Louise and Daniel again wanted to keep it minimal and stylish. We introduced touches of Plexiglas in the design for the escort cards and the seating chart to give the reception a chic feel. In addition, for the centerpieces, the couple wanted to just have a few flowers with grey/green greenery with lots of candles providing the atmosphere that Louise and Daniel were hoping to achieve.
Catering at Xalet del Nin
Partnering with Catering Sensacions, the catering was obviously always going to be delicious and of a high standard! The guests enjoyed a relaxed cocktail hour in the beautiful olive patio area of Xalet del Nin where Catering Sensacions provided scrumptious appetizers while wowing the guests with an Iberian Ham buffet!
After the delicious 3-course meal, which was MC´d by their close friend making sure that each of the 10 speeches went off without a hitch, the guests and the happy couple moved inside for the party. Finally, the couple had planned a beautiful dessert buffet for the guests to enjoy while they danced the night away!
