As we are nearing the end of 2020, this is a year we all won´t forget, we are getting excited looking forward to 2021 and planning some beautiful weddings! We are thrilled to discuss 2021 wedding trends!
Wedding Trend: Eco-Friendly weddings!
As we discussed in our recent blog, Eco-friendly weddings are going to be a big thing for 2021. Couples and vendors are excited about working together and creating a unique, beautiful wedding which is sustainable and stunning! Read our blog for further inspiration for your big day!
Wedding Trend: Microweddings
Couples may be looking at reducing the number of guests for their wedding day. This will make weddings more intimate but not any less spectacular! With couples choosing to make their weddings more intimate, this allows them to have a larger budget per guest. Couples will be splurging on bespoke touches to make their wedding day unforgettable for both themselves, and of course, their guests. In addition, another major plus of micro weddings, is that you get to spend more quality time with each guest with whom you truly want to share your special day. Surely, this is what weddings are truly all about?
Wedding Trend: Tents/Outdoor weddings
For obvious reasons, couples are choosing to host their weddings outside. Luckily Spain is blessed with a warm, balmy climate that makes it perfect for hosting outdoor soirees. For couples that had their heart set on a ballroom, why not consider a Haima tent for your big day? This provides a luxurious, cozy feel and with the addition of spectacular lighting and flower installations, we are sure that you and your guests will love the romantic luxurious feel!
Wedding Trend: Wow factor
As we mentioned previously, couples have a larger budget per guest which allows them to splurge on special details to give their wedding a luxurious touch. We are looking forward to seeing large, elaborate, floral centerpieces and intricate floral installations teamed with stunning dramatic lighting! We can´t wait to see what will be created as couples go deep into the details of their wedding day and exhibit their own personalities – in all their glory!
Wedding Trend: Experiences
We predict that couples are going to focus on pampering all their guests! This will include fun entertainment that goes above and beyond music! Think artists sketching your guests, fire performers and even magicians!
The way guests experience food and drinks at weddings will also be amped up! We are predicting interactive food stations, which are already extremely popular in Spain, teamed with delicious cocktail stations made with prime ingredients and made by professional cocktail tenders creating a wow factor for all the senses!
Wedding Trend: Wedding Dresses
Brides that have to postpone their wedding until 2021 are truly thinking bigger is better when it comes to their wedding dresses! They are looking forward to creating their dream dresses and we are definitely seeing an increase in the bride wanting to include a sentimental touch. They are adding fabric from their mother’s dress or having family jewelry sewn into the design. We have all realized just how important family is over the last year, and people , of course, want to celebrate this on their wedding day.
Wedding Trend: Extended Celebrations
We have seen a rise in the number of 2021 couples wanting to extend their wedding day beyond one day! Couples are looking to rent their wedding venue for several days and truly celebrate with their family and friends in a comfortable and safe environment.
We are sure you can all agree that 2020 has been a difficult year with many couples having to sadly postpone their big day until 2021. However, as they say: “Good things are worth waiting for” and we can´t wait to see the beautiful weddings that 2021 will bring!
