Micro Weddings are one of the biggest trends for 2021 and to be honest, one of our favorites! Imagine your destination wedding day in Spain surrounded by your closest family and friends celebrating with you! This is exactly what K&W chose to do to celebrate their intimate micro wedding at the Historic La Baronia!
Venue – La Baronia
When we first spoke to K&W, they were unsure what they were looking for when it came to their wedding venue. However, after an hour of talking to them, we knew they would love the beautiful, historic La Baronia for their wedding day, and we weren’t wrong! Although K&W were unable to visit La Baronia until the day before their wedding, we created videos and photos of the various stunning spaces and, unsurprisingly, they fell in love with this charming venue and its wonderful manager, Susanna.
Catholic Ceremony
It was extremely important to K&W that they could celebrate their catholic faith with a ceremony in one of the many dreamy churches we have in Spain! The church was located just a 5-minute drive from La Baronia and was the perfect choice for their intimate wedding party proving an intimate and cozy feel for the couple and their guests. As the church is so beautiful, the couple kept the decoration simple and elegant, just adding some white petals to mark the aisle. The local priest conducted the ceremony in English after getting to know the couple in the run up to the wedding and was able to personalize the ceremony to ensure it reflected them as a couple.
Wedding Dress
The bride wore a stunning, elegant Vera Wang off the shoulder gown which was perfect for the formal affair at La Baronia.
Cocktail hour
The cocktail hour was celebrated on the terrace of La Baronia which is surrounded by rolling , lush green hills and, on a clear day, boasts views of Barcelona and the stunning Mediterranean Sea. The guests enjoyed a range of delicious appetizers while enjoying the views and the music of the Spanish guitarists which fitted the mood to perfection.
Reception
The guests then moved to the courtyard to celebrate a scrumptious 3- course feast prepared by the in-house catering team at the venue. The guests loved the delicious cuisine while enjoying the atmosphere which was enhanced by the beautiful fairy lighting and fabulous flowers by the wonderful La Floreria. Mireia, from La Floreria, worked her floral magic creating a specular garland of coral flowers with greenery which brought the reception tables to life!
Party
After the emotional, and extremely funny speeches, the guests moved over to the pool area where they danced the night away to live music provided by the talented Bob Standards while enjoying the wonderful atmosphere created by having the party in the outdoors! What a night to remember!
